The pilgrims' opinion
Amazing shop with a truly unique charm. If you're looking for gear for hiking, pilgrimages, the staff really is great. They listen, give excellent advice, and take their time with you. We were pleasantly surprised by the quantity of gear and the quality of the products offered. That's it!
I had a great time today at this shop. Hugo, the owner, was incredibly patient with all my questions and I left delighted with my new hiking poles for my Camino de Santiago. I highly recommend this shop if you are looking for quality equipment! Thank you, Hugo!
I went to this store to find hiking shoes. As I was injured, my current shoes were no longer suitable for my injuries. The salesperson had me try on a significant number of models. They had a patience I've never seen in other merchants. They did everything they could to offer me suitable shoes and help me finish my Hexatrek! What professionalism! Unprecedented!
Very good advice, technical equipment, and accommodating managers, great place to find trekking gear.
I lost my backpack and all my gear at Dubai Airport just before starting my pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago. Fortunately, this wonderful shop has everything I need to successfully complete this beautiful journey. The blue hat, the orange jacket, the black pants, and the Smartwool socks are perfect. Buen Camino! 😇😇😇
Great gear store! The young man was very helpful and informative in assisting me to choose hiking poles and other supplies needed to begin the Camino Francés.

FAQ
1. What is the ideal weight for my pilgrim's backpack?
The golden rule on the Camino is to keep your pack weight under 10% of your body weight . For example, if you weigh 70 kg, your pack should not exceed 7 kg. At the Pilgrim's Shop , we carefully select ultralight and compact gear (sleeping bags, clothing, toiletries) to help you protect your back and joints, kilometer after kilometer.
2. How to choose your shoes for walking to Santiago?
The choice depends on the section of the route and the season. For rocky paths like the Camino Francés , a mid- or low-cut hiking shoe with good grip is ideal. Expert tip: Always choose a size larger than your usual size, as your feet will swell with exertion. Don't forget to break them in by walking several dozen kilometers before your big departure.
3 - What are the essentials to avoid blisters?
Blisters are the pilgrim's number one enemy. To prevent them, we recommend the "three-layer" system:
- A pair of technical anti-friction socks (in merino wool or double thickness).
- A daily application of anti-chafing cream (such as Akileïne).
- Precise lacing of your shoes.
